Welcome to the ASCINA Mexico chapter!

The chapter of ASCINA in Mexico was founded after the Austrian Science Talk in New Orleans in 2009. The network of Austrian scientists and scholars in North America was officially expanded in March 2010 in presence of Ambassador Dr. Alfred Längle. It serves Austrian scientists and scholars in Mexico to support and promote them and to facilitate interaction and collaboration between Austrian scientists and scholars and international research institutions.

The head of the chapter is Dr. Jürgen Haberleithner who is a professor and researcher at the University of Colima, Mexico. He is working at an APEC Studies Center (Official Research Center of APEC-Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation-member countries) and is Director of the Office of International Programs at the University of Colima.
